Kitchen Flip

This kitchen flip turned out great!

This kitchen is your typical 1980’s with brown cabinetry. We decided to flip this kitchen and to do it on a budget!

Simple + Strategic Kitchen Flip

To begin we wanted this kitchen to look larger, seat more, and have more storage. We were able to make it all happen. We removed a wall cabinet that enclosed the kitchen and interfered when entertaining. We knew we wanted to created more seating. So, with that removed wall cabinet we created bar top seating. We used that same cabinet as the base cabinet for the countertop. Had a piece of granite cut to match as closely as possible to what was already installed. Added some shiplap on the wall. Painted it white to brighten up the kitchen even more. Added open wall storage to bring in some greenery, decor, and additional storage. This kitchen turned out just like the rendering that was created. We couldn’t be more pleased.

What To Consider

First, my advise would be to think of what you want the space to feel like. How do you use the space? How you can make it meet both of those desires. Do you want your kitchen to feel intimate and moody, or bright and airy? Do you want more counter space or storage? Lastly, a lot more goes into it of course, but start here. Happy flipping from Two Flippin Taylor’s!
